Welcome to Looking into Clinical Connections (LINCC) Application Process
LINCC is a pilot program for faculty development.
Goals of LINCC
- Facilitate interaction between basic and clinically active faculty with shared scientific interests.
- Provide time for participation in enrichment opportunities that bridge science and medicine.
- Establish context for basic and clinical partners to bring scientific connections into an educational setting.
- Augment the scope of scientific investigation and enhance academic environment in the CCOM.
Requirements of LINCC
- Partnership between a PhD and MD CCOM faculty member.
- Commitment of pursuit of internal (Bench to Bedside, Challenges and Opportunities for Translation), and external enrichment activities.
- Publication of a scholarly review that addresses the basic science mechanism of a relevant disease, including a discussion of translational implications.
- Yearly updates (for two years) on status of collaboration.

- Research Description (2-3 pages)
- Statement of clinical connection (1-2 pages)
- Key words describing research program
- NIH Biosketch, including funding support
- DEO letter of support
