Presentation: Tips and Tricks for Using Epic in Research

There are ways to make Epic work for you when you are conducting research. The ICTS has invited Doug Van Daele, MD, to present at our upcoming Clinical Lecture Series. Dr. Van Daele was recently named Chief Medical Information Officer for UI Health Care and, as such, is responsible for supporting the development of clinical information systems that promote high quality patient care. He is also a member of the Steering Committee for the UIHC Epic Project and has been an integral part of bringing Epic to UIHC. His presentation entitled, "Tips and Tricks for Using Epic in Research," will take place on November 19, 2009 from 12:00-1:00 in the Melrose Conference Room 1 (51000 PFP).

Target Audience: Health professionals working on human subjects research.

Educational Objectives: Participants should be able to discuss the most current information and relevant approaches to research involving human subjects.
